BH RX Team Force Cyclocross Bike

BH RX Team Force Cyclocross Bike

Cyclocross bikes are generating a ton of buzz these days. Partly due to the increased popularity of cyclocross racing, but certainly also due to the demand for all-road bikes (a.k.a. gravel grinders). The BH RX Team Force is a full-carbon do-it-all bike that will put smiles on lots of faces.

The RX Team’s sister bike is the Pivot Vault and that bike has gotten tons of attention. BH’s flavor should get equal love and is available in a SRAM Force kit with Avid BB7 mechanical discs.

Something notable here is the 130/135mm rear hub spacing, thus allowing both road and MTB wheels to fit aboard the RX Team. It also features standard dropouts for easy compatibility with wheelsets you may already own.

The versatility continues as it can be mated with cantilever or disc brakes — not sure why anyone would go back to canti’s after going disc, but it’s an option. Speaking of brakes, I’m a little surprised that hydraulic discs aren’t part of the package — especially at a $4300 price point. BB7’s are nice, but hydros are better.

BH RX Team Force Features:

  • High-modulus carbon fiber frame and fork
  • SRAM Force 22 drivetrain
  • Rotor 3DF crankset
  • Stan’s Iron Cross wheelset
  • Avid BB7 mechanical discs
  • Price: $4298

The Bottom Line

This is one versatile cyclocross/gravel/road bike that will be equally at home on the cyclocross course as it will be spinning endless miles on winding gravel roads.
